Four-Wheel Antilock Brakes

Four-Wheel Antilock Brakes

LaCrosse's standard antilock braking system uses four wheel-speed sensors to constantly monitor the speed at which each wheel is turning. That data is shared with the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM) computer. If the PCM detects that a wheel is about to lockup during braking, it takes control and pulses the brakes, helping provide maximum available braking and allowing the driver to maintain steering control. LaCrosse's disc brake pads also have built-in wear indicators that signal when the brake pads need replacing.
