From allowing you to control key vehicle functions with your voice using AlexaTM enabled devices† to giving Prime members in select markets the option to have packages delivered† right to their eligible Buick vehicle, your life just became simpler in ways you never saw coming.
With the myBuick skill for Alexa,† you can use your voice to start or stop† your engine and lock or unlock† your doors using your Amazon Echo or other Alexa-enabled device. You’ll need an eligible Buick active service plan† and a properly equipped vehicle to get started.
Search for and select the myBuick skill. Click or tap “Enable.”
Alexa is Amazon’s cloud-based voice service. You can ask Alexa to answer questions, play music, deliver the news, get weather and traffic reports, control features of your smart home and more. The Alexa service is always getting smarter, both for features, and for natural-language understanding and accuracy. Because Alexa’s knowledge base is in the cloud, she continually learns and adds more functionality, every hour, every day.
Skills are voice-driven Alexa capabilities built by third party developers. If you use an Alexa-enabled device, you can view available skills and enable or disable certain skills from alexa.amazon.com or the Amazon Alexa app. Once you have enabled a skill, you start using it by saying any of the commands listed below. Since Alexa is built in the cloud, she is always getting smarter.
You’ll be using a special Alexa skill designed to work with Buick vehicles on Alexa-enabled devices. The key features in the vehicle skill include: remote start/stop engine and remote door lock/unlock. Additional features may be added over time.
“All commands begin with “Alexa, ask Buick…” Finish the command with one of the phrases below:
• “…to start my vehicle.”
• “…to stop my vehicle.”
• “…to lock my vehicle.”
• “…to unlock my vehicle.”
• “…for help.”
• “…what vehicles are in my garage.”
Most 2011 or newer model year Buick vehicles support the myBuick skill for Alexa. If your vehicle supports remote functionality on the mobile app, it will support the myBuick skill for Alexa. A Buick active service plan is required.

After you’ve downloaded the Key by Amazon App,† link your connected vehicle to your Amazon and Buick Owner Center accounts. You can then select in-car delivery for eligible Amazon packages when you shop on amazon.com or the Amazon mobile shopping app.
On delivery day, park in a publicly accessible area within two blocks of your selected delivery address.† Amazon will authorize the delivery driver to unlock your vehicle, and let you know as soon as the delivery is complete and your vehicle is relocked.
Key by Amazon links your Amazon Prime account with your Owner Center account and connected vehicle service plan to enable in-car deliveries. Amazon will then be able to issue certain remote commands to your linked vehicle, including locating the vehicle, unlock, lock, and alert horn and flash lights. In addition, information about your vehicle, its location, and confirmation that remote vehicle commands were executed may be sent to Amazon during the delivery process.
If the delivery driver is not able to locate your vehicle, the driver will deliver to your selected backup option. This can be to the building of your delivery address or in-car delivery on the next delivery day. You can make this selection and set up a backup delivery preference within the Key by Amazon App.
The Key by Amazon App lets you check if you have parked within range of the delivery location and provides notifications with your expected 4-hour delivery time window (typically between 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for Two-Day Shipping and 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. for Same-Day Delivery).
