Buick Envista FAQs

Does the Buick Envista come in AWD?

No, Envista is only offered with front-wheel drive (FWD).

All current Buick Envista models come with front-wheel drive, there is no all-wheel drive (AWD) option.

FWD has several built-in benefits for typical road conditions:

  • Fuel economy: FWD systems generally are more fuel efficient than AWD systems.
  • Interior space: Without rear drive shafts or additional mechanical parts, FWD vehicles often have slightly more usable space.
  • Sufficient traction: FWD delivers confident, reliable performance in most driving conditions.

If you’re looking for a vehicle with AWD, Buick Encore GX, Envision or Enclave offer available AWD. Learn more about the benefits of FWD and AWD here. And get the latest info on Buick SUVs.

Envista was not engineered for trailer towing and therefore does not offer a trailering package.

How much is a Buick Envista?

The 2026 Buick Envista starts at an MSRP of $24,700. It’s offered in three trims: Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir.

The 2026 Buick Envista lineup is structured to deliver strong value at every level, with three trims that offer increasing comfort, style and feature content:

  • Preferred (starting at $24,700): Includes LED headlamps, 17" bright silver-painted aluminum wheels, an 11" diagonal HD color touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay® compatibility and wireless Android Auto™ compatibility, and Buick Driver Confidence Package — a standard suite of advanced safety and driver assistance features.
  • Sport Touring (starting at $26,500): Adds a more athletic, expressive stance to Envista, along with 18-inch gloss black wheels, custom Sport Touring grille and trim accents, and a wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel that gives the cabin a sportier feel.
  • Avenir (starting at $29,500): Avenir offers a more premium, elevated feel. Unique to this trim are 19-inch machine-faced wheels, quilted leather-appointed seating, heated front seats, a power liftgate and enhanced interior materials. Visually, the Avenir carries exclusive badging and a polished exterior finish.

Does the Buick Envista have a sunroof?

Envista offers an available power moonroof on Sport Touring and Avenir trims. It slides open or tilts for ventilation and includes a sunshade.

Envista offers an available power moonroof on Sport Touring and Avenir models. It opens above the front row, retracts cleanly into the roof, and can also tilt upward to let in fresh air. A manual sunshade helps manage light when the glass is closed. The moonroof brings in natural light that elevates the atmosphere in the cabin.

Is the Buick Envista a car or SUV?

Envista is a compact crossover SUV, even though it includes styling cues reminiscent of a coupe.

Envista’s sleek roofline and bold styling might suggest a sporty car, but it’s firmly built as a compact crossover SUV. It combines SUV traits, such as a raised ride height and flexible cargo capacity.

That blend is a smart choice for those who want something between a sedan and a full-size SUV — nimble enough for city streets and parking, yet practical enough for daily life and weekend trips.

How do you remote start a Buick Envista?

You can remote start a Buick Envista either via the key fob (if equipped) or using the myBuick mobile app (if your vehicle is properly equipped and the paid service is active).

If your Envista supports remote commands and is enrolled in a compatible service plan, here’s how remote start works:

  • Using the key fob: Press the lock button, then press and hold the remote start button (often a circular arrow icon) for about 4 seconds. The turn signals should flash to confirm the engine has started. To stop it, press the remote start button again. The remote start run time is typically 15 minutes. You can extend it for another 15 minutes (to a total of 30) by repeating the remote start sequence while it’s running.
  • Using the myBuick mobile app: Open the myBuick mobile app and go to the My Vehicle tab on the home screen.
  • Press and hold the CLIMATE (or START) icon until the words “Keep Holding” disappear (about two seconds). The command will then display as “Sent” when successful.
  • If additional remote functions aren’t visible immediately, check the Controls tab in the app or select “View More” under the remote commands section.

Always check that doors are locked, the vehicle is in Park and the hood is fully closed before attempting remote start, as safety interlocks may block the command otherwise.

Visit the Buick Support page if you have questions about the myBuick mobile app.
