The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
TPMS Sensors sends signals from wheel air pressure sensors to the instrument control panel and alerts you when air pressure is low. Buick Certified Service technicians should inspect and service your TPMS to ensure it’s working properly.

When to check tire pressure
If your vehicle is not equipped with a TPMS, check your tires at least once a month with a tire air pressure gauge. The recommended tire air pressure number is usually on a sticker inside the driver’s door.

Tire rotation
Rotating the tires on your Buick vehicle regularly can help lengthen their lifetime and help ensure even wear throughout your time on the road.
To optimize their life, a vehicle’s tires should be rotated every 7,500 miles.
Tire replacement
Tire life varies greatly, but somewhere after 30,000 miles, tire replacement will be required. If the tread depth is 1/16th of an inch or less, it’s time for new tires.
Wheel alignment
If your vehicle pulls to one side, the steering wheel feels off-center, or you notice unusual vibration or front-end movement on flat roads, it may be time for a wheel alignment inspection.

The TPMS works by sending a signal from the air pressure sensor, located in your vehicle’s wheel, to the instrument control panel, which alerts you when the tire air pressure is low. Our trained professionals can inspect, and, if necessary, service your TPMS to determine if it is working properly.
Brake pads and rotors
The brake pads and rotors should be inspected for wear. If you hear squeaking, squealing, or grinding when braking; feel brake pedal pulsation; notice the vehicle pulling to one side, or find it takes longer to slow down, have the brakes inspected right away.
The first major brake service will likely come between 40,000 and 60,000 miles and may include brake pad and rotor replacement.
