J.D. Power Award

Buick ranks as the #1 mainstream automotive brand for dependability

The Buick Lineup with Text Overlay: “The #1 mainstream brand in the automotive industry for dependability”

The Buick lineup blends sophisticated style with a host of advanced tech features. And the industry is taking notice.

J.D. Power recognized Buick as the #1 mainstream vehicle brand for dependability.* Our commitment to reliability means your Buick will continue to impress long after you drive it off the lot.

Among mass market brands Buick topped the study, now in its 36th year, with 143 problems per 100 vehicles, compared to an industry average of 202 problems per 100 vehicles.

The 2025 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study is based on responses from 34,175 original owners of 2022 model-year vehicles after three years of ownership. The study covers 184 specific problem areas across nine major vehicle categories: climate, driving assistance, driving experience, exterior, features/controls/displays, infotainment, interior, powertrain and seats.
