Connect Your Phone In Vehicle via Bluetooth Pairing

With Bluetooth®* compatibility, you can pair your smartphone to access music, phone contacts, text messaging, phone calls and more through your center display. Here is how to connect:

To pair your compatible phone via Bluetooth, tap the Phone icon on the Home screen. Tap “Manage Phones,” then the plus sign (+) to add a new phone. Follow the steps on the screen and on your phone to complete pairing*.

Once your phone is paired with the system, ensure that Google Assistant* is enabled and that you can make and receive calls or texts.

For iPhone users, after pairing your phone with the vehicle, make sure to toggle on “Show Notifications” and “Sync Contacts” from your phone’s Settings menu under “Bluetooth.” Once toggled on, disconnect and reconnect your iPhone from the vehicle.

Enable Google Assistant to Read Text Messages

To enable Google Assistant to read your text messages, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Settings icon on the center display.
  2. From the Settings menu, scroll and press Google.
  3. Select “Google Assistant.”
  4. Scroll and select “Read and Respond to Vehicle Notifications.”

Google Assistant will then be allowed to read your new text messages aloud in the vehicle via Voice Assistant.

*Note: Pairing your phone allows you to access contacts from your phone with Google built-in*, so you can make phone calls to your contacts.
