The In-Vehicle App lets you choose from and listen to more than 425,000+ best-selling and classic audiobooks while on the road.  


The In-Vehicle App gives you the freedom to listen to your favorite books from your vehicle or mobile device. You can choose from over 425,000+ audiobooks from the comfort of your vehicle. The app is available on compatible infotainment systems and requires an eligible OnStar® plan.

The In-Vehicle App is free, but you must purchase credits from through the app in order to download most books. You can also log into your existing account to sync your library to your vehicle.  


To get started, download the In-Vehicle App by opening the APPS icon on your vehicle’s center display and selecting AUDIOBOOKS.COM. Launch the app by tapping the AUDIOBOOKS.COM icon on your vehicle’s center display. After opening the app, accept the Terms and Conditions.

You can then purchase credits from through the app in order to download audiobooks or browse free audiobooks.

You can log in to an existing account or set up an account online to sync your current library or to continue listening from another device.

Some app functions are not available while the vehicle is in motion, but you can listen to audiobooks while driving.

The app is free to download, but data rates do apply.

When you open the In-Vehicle app, you’ll see several tabs. These tabs will help you play and navigate content.

Here’s what each tab does:

AUDIOBOOKS takes you to the main Audiobooks screen, no matter where you are in the app.

MY BOOKS displays your library of audiobooks.

BROWSE allows you to search for new books, browse books that are free to download via “Free Books” and select books from various genres.


When you’re playing an audiobook, you’ll see a bar along the bottom of your screen that displays the title of the book. When you tap on the bar, the Mini Player will open, where you can fast-forward and rewind the book.

For your security, please don’t include personal info such as phone number, address or credit card details.


Does my vehicle have this feature?

If you have the APPS icon on your vehicle’s center display and you see the AUDIOBOOKS.COM app when you tap it, your vehicle can download this app.  

Why do I see a “STREAMING WARNING” pop-up?

Some audiobooks may require more data than others. When you select a book that requires more data to listen to, you may see a pop-up that lets you know it will require a large amount of data to stream.

How can I check how many available credits I have?

When you select "Use 1 Credit" while purchasing an audiobook, your available balance will show on the purchase confirmation screen.
