12K-30K MILES
With a few miles on the odometer, it’s time to have the brakes, filters and fuel system inspected. That’s in addition to the routine maintenance tasks described above.

Brake Inspection
The brake pads and rotors should be inspected for wear, but if squeaking or squealing is currently heard when braking, don’t wait. Have the brakes inspected immediately.

Engine Air Filter
Somewhere around 12,000-15,000 miles, it will likely be time to replace the engine’s air filter. Doing it with every other oil change is a good idea, too.

Cabin Air Filter
After about two years on the road, or around 22,500-24,000 miles, the cabin air filter should be inspected and likely replaced.

Fuel System Cleaning
Deposits or residue in the fuel system can affect performance and efficiency. A fuel system cleaning helps alleviate that.

30K-60K MILES
As the miles increase, so do the needs to keep your vehicle performing at its best. They build on the routine maintenance tasks described above.

Brake Pad & Rotor Replacement
The first major brake service likely will come between 40,000 and 60,000 miles. It will include replacement of the brake pads and rotors.

Tire Replacement
Tire life varies greatly, but somewhere after 30,000 miles, tire replacement will be required. If the tread depth is 1/16th of an inch or less, it’s definitely time for new tires.

Battery Replacement
A vehicle’s battery is good for about four or five years, which is generally around 60,000 miles of service. After that, it’s likely time for a replacement.

Coolant Flush
By around 60,000 miles the engine coolant (also known as antifreeze) should be flushed and replaced with new.

60K-90K MILES
You’re cruising right along, racking up the miles and longevity. Keep it going with these maintenance updates. Don’t forget the routine maintenance tasks described above, as well.

Belts & Hoses Replacement
The heat and wear and tear of everyday driving is hard on an engine’s belts and hoses. They should be inspected and possibly replaced by about 70,000 miles.

Transmission Service
Also around 70,000 miles, the transmission fluid should be inspected. Some vehicles may have a flush and replacement recommended, along with a filter change.

Shocks/Struts Service
Shocks and struts help maintain ride comfort. Somewhere between 60,000 and 75,000 miles, have them inspected to ensure they’re still doing their job.

90K+ MILES
There’s more targeted maintenance as your vehicle approaches 100K miles, but it’s time to celebrate its longevity! The routine maintenance tasks described above will also help keep you rolling longer.

Timing Belt Replacement
Not every vehicle has this need, but for those that do, it is a crucial service that comes in around the 100,000-mile mark. Check the owner’s manual or ask a service advisor to confirm whether it’s required for your vehicle.

Spark Plug Replacement
The recommended service life for most spark plugs is about 100,000 miles. Replacement at that point is recommended for most vehicles.

Differential Service
The differential channels engine power to the wheels. The same goes for the transfer case on a vehicle with 4WD. As the odometer approaches 100,000 miles, have them inspected. A fluid change may be recommended.
