Oil Life

To help ensure proper engine performance and long life, careful attention must be paid to engine oil and should be replaced when needed. When the remaining oil life is low, the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message should appear on your instrument cluster display.

Tire Wear

It’s important to visit your local Buick Certified Service experts for a tire inspection routinely to check your vehicle’s tire pressure, tread depth and wear in addition to performing rotations or alignment if necessary at the time of service.

Wipers & Windshield

Maintaining your windshield and wipers is vital to driving safely in any weather or environment. Whether your wiper blades are due for a change or just need a check, visit your local Buick Certified Service dealer to help ensure a clear view of the road.

Fluid Levels

Maintaining the correct fluid levels for your brakes, windshield washer, transmission and rear axle in addition to engine coolant and various lubricants is crucial to your Buick’s performance and safety. These fluids should be monitored and/or replaced during routine maintenance visits to your local Buick Certified Service dealer.

Brakes

Your Buick’s disc brake linings have built-in wear indicators that make a high-pitched warning sound when the brake linings are worn and new linings are needed. Continuing to drive with worn-out brake linings could result in costly repairs, so make sure to pay attention to your Brake Pad Life System if included with your vehicle model. Visit your local Certified Service experts for comprehensive brake assessment and additional replacements if needed.

Batteries

The original equipment battery that comes with your new Buick is maintenance free. Do not remove the cap and do not add fluid. Refer to the replacement number shown on the original battery label when a new battery is needed. For replacement of the battery, see your local Certified Service dealer.

Your Buick may be equipped with a comprehensive, in-vehicle system that can connect to an OnStar Advisor for Emergency, Security, Navigation, Connections, and Diagnostics Services. Automatic Crash Response, Emergency Services, Crisis Assist, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Remote Services, and Roadside Assistance are available via OnStar for most Buick vehicles.
